How it works
Scan. Match. Shop.
MIRU turns one short scan into a Beauty Profile, then uses that profile to suggest products and shades worth your money.
1. Scan
Open the scan and hold your phone at arm's length in even, indirect light. MIRU first checks the capture environment — whether your face is evenly lit, whether the frame is steady, whether anything is blocking your skin — and guides you until the conditions are good enough to read from.
It then analyses the complexion characteristics visible in the capture, such as overall depth and undertone, and saves them as your Beauty Profile.
2. Match
Your profile is compared against the products and shades in the MIRU catalogue. Each suggestion carries a match indicator and a short reason, and where a neighbouring shade in the same family may suit you better, MIRU shows that alternative too.
3. Shop
Browse your matched products and routine, then follow the link to the retailer to buy. MIRU is not the retailer — pricing, availability and product details are the retailer's. Some links are affiliate links; see the affiliate disclosure.
Lighting matters
A camera can only report the light it is given. Stable, even, indirect daylight gives the most consistent readings. Strong backlighting, coloured bulbs, deep shade and direct sun all shift how skin appears, which is why two scans taken in very different light can differ. If MIRU can't read your light well enough, it will ask you to try again rather than guess.
