About
Beauty shopping, without the guesswork.
MIRU is an AI beauty shopping assistant. It reads your complexion once, then helps you find products and shades that suit you — so buying online feels less like a gamble.
The problem we set out to solve
Shade names don't travel. A “neutral medium” in one brand is a different colour in the next, screens shift how a swatch looks, and most product pages ask you to guess. Returns are awkward, and the wrong foundation usually ends up unused in a drawer.
What MIRU does
You take a short scan in even lighting. MIRU checks the capture environment, analyses the complexion characteristics it can see, and saves the result as your Beauty Profile. From then on, product recommendations and shade suggestions are built around that profile instead of a generic quiz.
Each recommendation shows a match indicator and a plain-language reason, so you can decide for yourself whether it looks right. Where a neighbouring shade may suit you better, MIRU says so rather than pretending there is only one answer.
What MIRU doesn't claim
Shade matching from a photo is guidance, not a guarantee. Camera hardware, lighting and skin condition all affect what a scan can see, and formulas oxidise differently on different people. MIRU aims to narrow the field to a short, sensible list — not to promise a perfect match.
How MIRU makes money
MIRU does not sell products. Recommendations link out to retailers, and some of those links are affiliate links — including Amazon. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. Read the full affiliate disclosure.
